Help
Welcome to the PRIME website. The site contains information about the PRIME project, its activities, partners and relevant documentation. This sectionYou can also discuss issues around the project in the eCommunity. This feature requires a login.
How to log in
Click the Login button in the top right corner of the pageAfter you've logged in you can access the eCommunity and project Documents: links to these sections will appear in the main menu along the top of the page.
Reading eCommunity messages.
The eCommunity is divided into Forums for individual topics. Each forum contains a number of "threads", i.e. discussions about a specific aspect of that topic. If a discussion is very long, it is split into pages: use the Next and Previous buttons to work through the thread.
Posting messages
To reply to a thread, open that thread and click "Contribute to this discussion". Type your reply into the box and click Post Message when you're ready. You can format your text (use headings, bullet points, insert links, etc) by selecting the text you want to format and then clicking the relevant button at the top of the box.
Your reply will be displayed at the bottom of the thread.
To start a new thread, go to the relevant Forum and click "Start a new topic". Note that you will have to provide a subject for the discussion (so that we all know what it's about).
Netiquette
Some "good practice" tips for using eCommunities:
- It is good practice to read through a thread before posting to make sure your question has not already been answered
- Make sure your contribution is relevant to the thread. If not, it may be better to start a new discussion.
- Use of this site is conditional upon acceptance of the site Code of Conduct.
Changing your preferences
Use the MySpace button (which appears in the top right after you've logged in) to customise how the eCommunity works for you.In MySpace you can:
- change your password
- add an avatar (i.e. a picture) to represent you in the eCommunity. This picture should be 50x50 pixels.
- decide how often you get email alerts from the site
After making any changes, use the Save button to store them. Click PRIME in the top right to return to the site if it does not do so automatically.
